Council subcommittee votes to strike Human Relations Committee

NH LACONIA — Laconia government subcommittee votes to remove Human Relations Committee from the city ordinance. The Government Operations & Ordinances Subcommittee voted 2-1 to amend Ordinance 5-32 and strike the committee from the council committee list, with Councilor Hoffman opposing and Councilors Bogert and Conant in favor. The measure returns to the full City Council for final action.
Meanwhile, the subcommittee unanimously voted to remove the Proposed Historic Overlay District and Time Frame for Demolition Permits from its referred items list.
