NH LACONIA — Parks commission approves farmers market through tiebreaker vote. Laconia Parks and Recreation Commission approved 11 of 12 facility-use requests at its June 15 meeting, with Chair Mitch Hamel casting a tie-breaking vote for a weekly farmers market at Weirs Community Park parking lot on Saturdays from May 29 through October 9, 2027. Commissioners Rodney Roy and Deanna Guyer opposed the request; Commissioners Arthur Kirk and Laura Ringer voted yes.

The commission also approved summer events including a Teen Cert camp at Tardif Park and concerts. Director Amy Lovisek reported the Pumpkin Festival is on schedule with a $10,000 Bank of New Hampshire sponsorship.
