NH LACONIA — Parks panel approved facility bookings and reduced farmers market fee. The Laconia Parks and Recreation Commission voted unanimously to cut the special event fee for the 2027 farmers market season from $150 to $100, a request from Belknap Area Market Management's Paul. The panel, chaired by Commissioner Mitch Hamel and including Commissioners Deanna Guyer, Arthur Kirk, and Laura Ringer, also approved three new facility use requests: a picnic at Bartlett Beach by Bonnie Blais Carignan; overnight camping at Opechee Park Cove beach by Scouting Troop 68; and a fundraiser parking event at Endicott Rock Park by the Weirs Action Committee.

Director Amy Lovisek presented Project 2040, detailing what city departments must maintain as the population grows.
