Subcommittee fills nine board positions in appointments session.

NH LACONIA — Laconia appointments subcommittee recommends nine to city boards and commissions. The City Council Appointments Subcommittee, chaired by Councilor Conant, selected Robert Turpin and Mark Ashley as alternates to the Planning Board from six applicants in voting held June 9, 2026. Patrick Wood and Matthew Soza were appointed to the Human Relations Committee; Dave Ouelette and Charlie St.
Clair were reappointed to the Planning Board; and Elizabeth Ballantyne was reappointed to the Laconia Putnam Fund for a five-year term ending March 2031. A motion to appoint Carol Devito as a Planning Board alternate died for lack of a second.
