NH LACONIA — Laconia Zoning Board approves two separate short-term rental permits in a single meeting. The board voted 3-0 to allow short-term lodging at 3114 Parade Road, with Board members Richard Boddie, Tara Sorell, and Councilor Eric Hoffman approving applicant John Healy's application despite opposition from direct abutters concerned about traffic, noise, and commercial use in a rural residential zone. A second application by Denise Smith and Joseph Barry Smith for 5 Golf View Unit B also passed 3-0, with no public opposition, as board members noted existing short-term rentals already established the precedent in the condominium development.
