Putnam Fund rejects three concert acts, seeks alternatives

Laconia Putnam Fund · Meeting of April 18, 2026

NH LACONIA — Putnam Fund board seeks new concert acts after rejecting three proposals. The Laconia Putnam Fund board rejected three performers for its November 20, 2026 concert during its April 18 meeting: The Sharpe Family Singers and A Night in Memphis, both at $13,000, and The Hit Men at $13,000. The Sharpe Family Singers' Houston performance on November 19 created scheduling concerns, while A Night in Memphis requires additional backline equipment that would increase the total cost.

Linda Peary will contact the Colonial to explain the situation, with board members to solicit additional proposals before the next meeting on May 12, 2025.
