Weirs TIF Board approves bandstand feasibility study

Weirs TIF Advisory Board · Meeting of May 20, 2026

NH LACONIA — Laconia Weirs board approves bandstand feasibility study as waterfront redevelopment advances. Chair Robert Ames motioned unanimously to approve Weston & Sampson's study examining engineering feasibility and design options for a boardwalk structure, with Ames emphasizing the central location's visibility and business benefit. The Board also reviewed TIF financials showing a beach refurbishment fund balance of $303,818.88 and Weirs TIF fund balance of approximately $107,412 for FY26.

A recent RFP for wave-baffle engineering represents movement on a long-standing Board priority to address ongoing sand migration at Weirs Beach.
