Conservation Commission · Meeting of March 18, 2026

NH LACONIA — Laconia Conservation Commission unanimously backs Lake Host Program with $1,000 allocation. Chair Dean Anson and the seven-member commission voted to supplement the program with funds from the Conservation Commission budget, combining with a $1,650 New Hampshire Lakes Grant and $835 in rollover funds. Lake Hosts provide boater education and monitor for cyanobacteria blooms and loon activity.

The commission also authorized continued reorganization of the 2022 Natural Resource Inventory, repositioning conservation recommendations early in the document, and discussed the potential designation of prime wetlands in Laconia.
