NH LACONIA — Conservation Commission examines two residential developments with environmental concerns. The Commission issued detailed recommendations on the Belmont Road commercial project, including slope stabilization methods and wetland buffer protections near Durkee Brook, with applicant Steve Grant agreeing to provide additional engineering information to the City. For the Wentworth Cove Road project, commissioners unanimously approved formal comments asking applicant Jessica Christopher to confirm wetland delineation, explore relocating the proposed garage outside the wetland buffer, and consult with the Natural Heritage Bureau regarding rare species.
The Commission is also reviewing draft urban agriculture ordinance language and Natural Resource Inventory comments from FB Environmental.
