Laconia Conservation Commission continues Natural Resource Inventory update

NH LACONIA — Laconia Conservation Commission reviews proposed development and environmental resources. The Commission accepted amended minutes from its May meeting and continued work on an updated Natural Resource Inventory with members requesting printed drafts for review. Nicholas Loring of Benchmark Engineering presented a 26-lot cluster development proposal for Pickerel Pond Road, with Commission discussion focused on wetlands, vernal pools, stormwater management, conservation measures, and dark-sky requirements.

Members also agreed to pursue public education initiatives on environmental topics including invasive species and erosion control practices.
