NH LACONIA — Laconia City Council approves permanent 9 p.m. social district hours. The city council voted unanimously to extend social district hours from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. for all downtown entertainment venues, adding one hour of police detail coverage. The council also scheduled June 22 public hearings on the FY27 budget, a $65,000 Elm Street School drainage repair funded through impact fees, and $1.99 million in year-end carryforwards to complete ongoing projects.
City Manager Kirk Beattie noted the carryforward list has been reduced from prior levels, with funds allocated to multi-year initiatives like Langley Cove.
