Laconia approves appointments to five boards and commissions

NH LACONIA — Laconia's Appointments Subcommittee approves five appointments to city boards on single-vote day. Chair Conant, Councilor Haynes, and Councilor Bogert backed reappointments of Mitch Hamel to Parks and Recreation Commission and Jane Whitehead to Heritage Commission by unanimous vote on July 20. David Wunsch was appointed to the Water Commission and Archie Keltz to the Human Relations Committee, each 2-1 with Haynes opposed; Stacy Soucy and Taylor Hough gained appointment as public members to the Colonial Theatre Advisory Board, each approved 2-0-1 with Haynes abstaining both times, citing uninterviewed applicants.
