NH LACONIA — Appointments Subcommittee recommends Newton for Library Board alternate. The City Council Appointments Subcommittee unanimously recommended Beth Newton for appointment as an alternate member of the Library Board of Trustees for a one-year term ending March 31, 2027. Councilors Conant and Haynes supported the recommendation, with Councilor Bogert absent.
Ms. Newton was previously interviewed on June 9, 2026. The appointment requires approval from the full City Council.
