Committee approves 14 Bike Week and summer event applications

NH LACONIA — Laconia approves 14 Bike Week and summer event permits with new safety requirements. The Special Events Technical Review Committee unanimously cleared applications for Bike Week venues on Lakeside and Endicott Streets, High Octane Saloon, a car show at 70 Endicott St. N, Concerts On Canal, and Tamarack under new ownership.
High Octane Saloon received new conditions requiring pedestrian-safety staffing and lighting on Watson Road. RV parking at 718 Endicott St. N expanded from six to eight spaces with electrical-protection and Department of Transportation coordination conditions, while bike parking at 1065 Watson Rd was capped at 50 bicycles.
