Special Events Committee approves four spring events
Special Events Review Committee · Meeting of April 1, 2026
NH LACONIA — Laconia Special Events Committee approves four spring events. Chair Tyler Carmichael presided over the April 1 meeting with five members present: Lieutenant Chris Noyes, Chief Tim Joubert, Amy Lovisek, and Wes Anderson. Three Motorcycle Week events—a rally at 208 Lakeside Avenue with seven vendors, an event at 54 Lakeside Avenue with two vendors and tents, and parking at Daytona Park for approximately 100 vehicles—were approved as returning applications with prior-year conditions.
The Love Our Earth Day event at 18 Veterans Square, previously deferred from a March 4 meeting due to parking and traffic control concerns, was approved after revisions included parking arrangements from the crosswalk to Pleasant Street and an updated Traffic Control Order. All votes were unanimous.
