Conservation Commission Advances Natural Resource Inventory Analysis

NH LACONIA — Laconia Conservation Commission pursues Natural Resource Inventory analysis. The commission received a presentation on an FB Environmental Geographic Information System study to map high-value environmental areas for development review and conservation planning. Project Manager Sarah Sullivan proposed a six-month timeline through July 2026, with priority maps and GIS shapefiles as deliverables.
Commission members will provide input on weighting natural resource data layers. The commission also plans public engagement through iNaturalist, a crowd-sourced observation platform, with a training event scheduled for April at Prescott Farm.
