Committee approves seven summer events for Laconia

Special Events Review Committee · Meeting of February 4, 2026

NH LACONIA — Laconia approves seven summer events in streamlined committee meeting. The Special Events Technical Review Committee, chaired by Tyler Carmichael, unanimously approved events from February through August without discussion or concerns. Six applications support the return of Laconia Motorcycle Week across Weirs Boulevard and Lakeside Avenue venues.

The Sled Dog Derby at Opechee Bay State Forest received an approved fee waiver. Application SE2026-012 modifies the Motorcycle Week vending layout, requiring individual licenses for each vendor in shared spaces, with lists due by May 29. The committee added a requirement that Sled Dog Derby course changes be coordinated with Police, Fire, and Public Works.
