Heritage Commission approves demolition for 59 Doe Avenue

Heritage Commission · Meeting of April 8, 2026

NH LACONIA — Heritage Commission unanimously approves demolition for 59 Doe Avenue. Kevin Lacasse, under contract to purchase the property from Keith and Monique O'Leary, presented the April 8 application to Chair Marjory Wilkinson, Councilor Mark Haynes, Lois Kessin, and Jane Whitehead, showing photographs of severe foundation damage, water intrusion, and fire evidence in the attic space. The structure originally known as Lawrence Manor most recently housed The Witches Brew Pub, which opened in 2020 and ceased operations in November 2025 after workforce shortages.

Most historic architectural elements had already been removed from the building.
