Laconia Master Plan steering committee charts 2026 overhaul amid growth

Master Plan Steering Committee · Meeting of March 12, 2026

NH LACONIA — Laconia Master Plan Steering Committee charts 2026 overhaul amid doubled construction. Rob Mora's committee approved prior meeting minutes by a 4-0 vote and began comprehensive revision of the 2018 Master Plan, which members determined lacked depth and sufficient analysis. Doubled construction valuation prompted discussion of housing affordability, single-family zoning constraints, and need for multifamily and starter homes.

Approximately $40 million in road improvements are needed citywide; water and sewer infrastructure gaps restrict development. A revised Natural Resources Chapter will be incorporated into the updated plan.
