Laconia Police Commission approves Moynihan promotion

NH LACONIA — Laconia Police Commission approves Moynihan promotion and out-of-state training funds. Chairman Douglas Whittum and Commissioner Frank Mello unanimously approved the promotion of Officer Bryan Moynihan to Patrol Sergeant, effective September 1, and authorized $1,480 in training funds for Captain Allan Graton and Lieutenant Carlson to attend the Pennsylvania State Police Collision Reconstruction Seminar on September 21-25. Chief Matthew Canfield noted the department serves as an integral part of the county's Accident Reconstruction Team.

The department also reported approximately $9,900 under budget year to date and a significant decrease in drug overdoses to nine year to date.
