Police Commission approves prior meeting minutes, hears operational reports

NH LACONIA — Police Commission accepts minutes, hears reports on accreditation and call volumes. The Police Commission unanimously approved the minutes of its February meeting and received operational updates from Chief Matthew Canfield. The department reported calls for service are up 26.62 percent and drug overdose deaths declined significantly to two suspected cases in the past year.

The Chief outlined entry into a new CALEA accreditation four-year cycle, with a budget presentation planned for late May or early June, and highlighted the Real Time Crime Center initiative using permission-based Ring camera access for investigations.
